World Day Against Trafficking in Persons 2019

Every year the Coalition against Trafficking in Persons Uganda (UCATIP) joins the world to commemorate World Day against Trafficking in Persons to raise awareness, and highlight efforts to end the multi-faced social evil.

The global theme by United Nations, Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in 2019 was ” focusing on highlighting the importance of government action in the interest of victims of trafficking.“

This call for action was not only to governments but encouraging everyone to take action to prevent this crime.
